MPI-HAC Awards
Planner & Supplier of The Year
Planner and Supplier of the Year is an individual who has shown an overall commitment to the meetings industry. This individual is an active member in MPI, participates in other industry related, civic, and employee organizations and has shown a personal commitment to continuing professional education.
Torchlight Award
Torchlight Award recipient is an individual who has been a MPI member in good standing for more than 24 months. They actively demonstrate a strong commitment and support of MPI Houston Area Chapter committees, attend at least 70% of all meetings, and maintain exemplary communication between existing and new members, and uphold the standards of the organization.
Chapter Rising Star
Chapter Rising Star is an individual who has been a MPI member in good standing for less than 24 months. They actively demonstrate a strong commitment and support of MPI Houston Area Chapter through participation and involvement in one or more MPI Houston Area Chapter committees, attend at least 70% of all meetings, and maintain exemplary communication between existing and new members, and uphold the standards of the organization.
The Mentor Award
The Mentor award is presented to either a planner or a supplier who displays the unique ability to lead, guide, and teach others with enthusiasm. This person is someone you can turn to for advice and support. They are a leader in the meetings industry and an example for individuals who are new to the meetings industry.
Each nominee will be asked to submit specific information responding to guidelines established by the Awards Committee, and the committee will select award recipients after a careful review of this information. The guidelines include categories such as committee and board of director’s service, involvement in other industry organizations, professional recognition, industry activity (e.g. speaking engagements, published articles), attendance at Houston Area Chapter and MPI events, continuing education, and job responsibilities. |
