MPI-HAC Leader of the Month

The Leader of the Month Program was designed to increase exposure and recognition for our chapter leaders (volunteers) and to reward them for their commitment and dedication to their professional organization, MPI-HAC, and ultimately to encourage continued engagement through participation on the board and committees. For the past two years, the MPI-HAC's Leadership Development Committee has led the charge towards recognizing some of our chapter's stellar volunteers. Our goal has been to highlight a member of a committee each month that shows creativity, ingenuity, commitment and dedication to our chapter's goals and activities. Each month the Board of Directors nominates and vote on outstanding committee members and the recipient is then awarded at our monthly luncheons. The LOM recipient receives a Certificate of Recognition signed by our Chapter President and also receives a gift certificate for a free lunch to be used for a future meeting. Their name is then included on the ballot for Leader of the Year, which is awarded at our chapter's annual gala, typically held in June.

July 2009 - Barbara Collins, Corporate Meeting Planner for Shell and Special Events Committee Member

August 2009 - John Graner, Sales Manager for the Sullivan Group and Communications Committee Member

September 2009 - Aliya Thompson, Conference Planning Manager for the Woodlands Resort & Conference Center and Registration Committee Member

October 2009 - Marcus Van Milburn, Sales Manager for the Sheraton Suites Hotel Galleria and Special Events Committee Member

November 2009 - Gina Guidry, Director of Meetings & Special Events for the Health Museum and Membership/Member Care Committee Member

December 2009 - Heidi MacMillan, Director of Sales for the Northwest Forest Conference Center and Communications Committee Member

January 2010 - Carolyn Butterworth, Director of Communications for the Tx Assoc. of Public Employee Retirement Systems and Registration/Member Special Events Committee Member

February 2010 - Linda Hampton, CMP, VP of Operations for Norris Conference Centers and Education Committee Member

March 2010 - Juliana Wathen, Account Executive for J&S Audio Video and Education Committee Member

April 2010 - Dan O'Brien, Co-Owner of J&D Entertainment and Special Events Committee Member
